The Autism Specialty License Plate is available for sale at Local, County, and private Motor Vehicle License Plate Renewal Offices throughout the State.

When you renew your registration, simply let them know you wish to replace your current license plate with the Support Autism Programs  Specialty License Plate. If it is not time in your license plate's cycle to replace the metal license plate, you will pay a few additional dollars to switch to a specialty license plate. The Support Autism Programs Specialty License Plate costs $25 (annually) above the standard Florida license plate. These additional funds go to support services for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in Florida, the purpose for which the specialty license plate was designed. Buy A Gift Certificate for Support Autism Programs Plates
The gift certificate program works much like any gift certificate. Upon payment of the required annual fees, a gift certificate may be purchased online or at an authorized motor vehicle office(e.g., state motor vehicle office, local tax collector office, or licensed private tag agent) for the Support Autism Programs license plate. At the time of purchase, a receipt will be provided and a credit will be issued in the name of the gift recipient, which can then be redeemed by the recipient at the time the specialty license plate is purchased. You do not have to purchase and redeem the certificate at the same office. The gift certificate is not required to be presented to redeem the credit, just proper identification (i.e. Florida driver’s license or ID card). Once a gift certificate is purchased, the money is given to the sponsoring plate entity as specified by Florida Statutes. Therefore, refunds are not available for gift certificates. Gift Certificates for  the Support Autism Programs specialty license plates make great gifts. Also, remember that in Florida, most registrations are renewed on the birth date of the registrant, so these gift certificates can also be a wonderful birthday gift.

The Autism License Plate Fund and the Autism Services Grant Council are administered by
